Online Programs Overview
Vatterott College Online incorporates a number of helpful resources to ensure that our students are successful when faced with the unique challenges of online learning. It is important to us that the students we enroll in our online programs have demonstrated the prior knowledge, appropriate learning styles, and technical capabilities necessary to succeed in our distance education program.
In addition to our professional support staff, Vatterott College Online has implemented an online readiness program meant to guage each prospective student’s preparedness for the world of online education. We also offer course demonstrations, student orientations, and student training sessions so that our students are knowledgeable of the online learning process right from the very beginning.
How Do I Get Started
After you have reviewed our programs, take a moment to fill out our request for information form. You can also choose to complete our online application if you feel that you have enough information to move forward. After your information has been submitted, one of our education coordinators will contact you via phone. You will discuss what programs are right for you and begin the enrollment process once your decision has been made. You will then be put in touch with a financial aid expert to review your payment options. At each step in the process you will have a trained member of our staff to guide you through each milestone.
What Happens After I Enroll?
Once you have selected the appropriate online program and taken care of your financial aid responsibilities, you will be ready to start your online experience at Vatterott College Online. Prior to your first term, your textbooks will be mailed directly to your home address. Your retention officer will set you up with a Vatterott email account for communicating with your instructor and classmates. You will also be provided login information that will allow you to access our student orientation course, our career services course, and the course(s) that you will be taking in your first term as a student. The Vatterott College Online support staff will be available to assist with any questions you may have concerning your login information, your course materials, or any other technical issues that may arise during your orientation.
What Will My Online Classes Be Like?
The online classes at Vatterott College Online are asynchronous in nature, which provides our students with the flexibility to log into class when the time is convenient for them. We use the Canvas learning management system as the platform for housing our online courses. Within your online course you will be able to view recorded lecture presentations, participate in discussions, view course objectives, complete quizzes, submit written assignments, communicate with your instructor, and keep tabs on your grades. The system has been developed so that everything you need to succeed is located in a central location for each course.
